What is a Digital Leader?
Our Digital Leaders are passionate about IT and promote its safe use and enjoyment across the school. They carry out a range of roles in school so that things run smoothly in the world of technology at Cedarwood!
The role of Digital Leader:
- Promote online safety
- Raise the profile of ICT in the school
- Keep technology spaces clean and tidy and serviced
- Report broken or malfunctioning equipment
- Audit how often different programs and apps are used
- Ensure netbooks and other key pieces of equipment are charged and ready for use
- Support staff and pupils with any technical issues, where they can
- Review apps and software and make recommendations
This term, our Digital Leaders are participating in the All About STEM Young Coders Competition. This year’s theme is ‘My World, Our Planet’. The challenge is to create a reactive game that encourages children to take care of natural resources and improve the environment.
The team have their thinking caps on and aim to create a game which is engaging and fun.
